Victor Vasarely's silkscreen embodies his exploration of optical illusions and visual perception. The work features a central sphere-shaped motif, composed of gradated diamonds ranging from yellow to brown, creating a striking sense of volume and depth. The sphere seems to float on a geometric blue background, ranging from dark to light, reinforcing the three-dimensional effect.
The geometric shapes in the background shrink as they move away from the center, creating an optical vibration and a sense of movement. Color contrasts, from the warm tones of the sphere to the cool tones of the background, intensify this dynamic illusion.
