Follow Invader
Invader, born Franck Slama in 1969 in Paris, is a French street artist known for his distinctive ceramic tile mosaics modeled after characters from early video games, such as the iconic Space Invaders, which inspired his pseudonym.
His mosaics can be found on city walls worldwide since he began his "invasions" in 1998, with installations in over 60 countries and more than 30 cities, including Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. Invader's work symbolizes the spread of digital culture and is seen as a form of artistic "invasion."
Besides his street mosaics, Invader also engages in gallery artworks that further explore themes and mediums related to his street installations. He has developed a scoring system to gauge the impact of his pieces and created the "FlashInvaders" mobile app for his followers.
Invader maintains his anonymity, frequently appearing in public wearing a mask.
