Joël Chasseriau began his career as a layout artist at Studio Dufayel, the graphic design and advertising office of Galeries Lafayette in Paris.
In 1985, Joël Chasseriau created Calligram, his own graphic communications consultancy. His clients include Hachette, Marabout, Jean-Claude Lattès, Gault et Millau as well as La Bibliothèque Nationale, Nathan Image, Kenzo, Votre Beauté magasine, Thalassa...
He discovered aquagravure, a unique printmaking technique, in 1999 following his meeting with the artist Bernard Pras.
He held his first exhibition of aquagravures in 2001.
In 2006, Joël Chasseriau created Aquastamp Paris, an art print shop in aquagravures.
In 2012, he exhibited his paintings for the first time at the Réalités Nouvelles exhibition in Paris.
