Moore's work, deeply influenced by sculpture, finds here a fascinating transposition into lithography. The elongated figures rest on a massive structure that evokes both a pedestal and a landscape, recalling the artist's great stone and bronze sculptures. By playing on the contrasts between the monumentality of the background and the fragility of the human forms, Moore inscribes his work in a timelessness where memory and matter converse.
