This etching by Seiko Tachibana subtly evokes dandelions ready to scatter in the wind. Like the flower itself, its fine lines are reminiscent of fragile stems bearing seeds ready to be released. Each end seems to be waiting for a breath to scatter in space, like the dandelion's egrets floating in the wind, carrying the promise of life to new horizons.
The artwork explores the duality between the ephemeral and the infinite, playing on the delicate balance between what fades and what endures through time. Through this composition, Tachibana captures that delicate moment of transition, a fleeting instant that gives way to a new cycle. Like the seeds of the dandelion, this engraved form seems to contain a latent potential, ready to be disseminated and reborn elsewhere. This motif expresses both the fragility of the present and the eternal recommencement of nature, an infinite cycle of dispersion and renewal, linking the organic to the universal.
